TRANSPORT With the completion of both the Bulahdelah bypass and the Taree bypass, and with other significant road works soon to be completed, Harrington and Crowdy Head are becoming closer and closer to Sydney every day. The drive to Sydney now is not only quicker, but also less hazardous due to the elimination of curvy sections of road.
Depending on which part of Sydney you are travelling from, and what time of year, the average driving trip to Harrington now takes approx 3½ to 4 hours — a remarkable change from years gone by.
Our closest service centre is Taree, which is only a short 25-minute drive from Harrington. From here coach, rail and air connections can be made, providing easy access to Sydney, Newcastle and Brisbane. A flight from Taree to Sydney averages around one hour and also provides the traveller with a scenic view over the Mid North Coast.
The main public transport system in the Harrington area is a bus service provided by a coach company from Taree.
The bus departs Taree three times daily from Taree City Centre.

Depart Harrington: 7.50 am 10.15 am 4.20 pm
